Calculator questions

Why is the expected value often negative?

Because every bet placed to clear the wagering carries the house edge. Above roughly 25× wagering on a 96% slot, the expected cost usually exceeds the bonus.

Does a higher RTP game help?

Yes, as long as it contributes 100% to wagering. Many casinos exclude their highest-RTP games from bonus play for exactly that reason.

Why does game contribution matter so much?

At 10% contribution, every $1 bet clears only $0.10 of wagering, so the bets required are multiplied by ten.
